Dinosaurs

Me: Nick - go take a potty break
Nick: I can't!
Me: Why?
Nick: Because I'm scared of the dinosaurs!
Me: We don't have dinosaurs!
Nick: YES WE DO! I saw one yesterday!
Me: Where?!
Nick: At our HOUSE!

School is Tiring....

I went to pick Nick up the other day and was met by his teacher who had to show me a picture of Nick's busy day. I about died laughing seeing Nick sound asleep at school, still wearing his backpack! Poor kid just couldn't hang! After school I asked him about falling asleep at school.

Me: Nick, your teacher said you fell asleep at school today!
Nick: Yep! My school should really have beds.
Me: No, you sleep at home and play at school
Nick: Well, sometimes you need to sleep at school if it gets boring.
He must talk with Andrew.....

I texted his teacher this picture. He was out cold when I pulled into the driveway.
To be fair - it's hard to stay awake when you wake up at 5:30am to watch Paw Patrol.....

Best Buddies

It's been really fun to watch Xander and Nick become better and better friends. Don't get me wrong, they still fight, but they also play so cute together. Xander can say Nick's name now - and can also parrot everything I say. On on walk the other day the boys found this "HUGE" dirt hill. They spent a good 20 minutes getting all nice and dirty - and laughing the whole time.

They also love to play in Xander's pack and play. Before we take Nick to school these boys will play forever in there. They pretend to sleep, race cars, do flips, make up silly games that I don't understand - It's adorable.

Zack's 5th Grade Concert

The whole 5th grade put on a music concert for their families. Zack was so excited (and nervous) to have a speaking part. He did a great job, spoke clearly and slowly and didn't look nervous at all!

They sang silly songs for us, played on these cool xylophones, and did an amazing performance. Christopher was out of town, Andrew and Xander stayed home, Kallie and Nick came with me.

Nick lasted for only half the show. Christopher was able to see lots of the program via WhatsApp video chat. I can't believe he will be in middle school next year!

Color Run!

Zack is loving every moment of being a 5th grader. This week he was able to participate in the 5th grade color run! He ran 30 laps - then they just stopped counting. He did bring a change of clothes, but he was too excited about his signed shirt to change. How cute is that?! And of course, Nick needed to be in the pictures too :)

Spring Break so far looks like this.....

Lots of kids napping on lots of couches. Also, checking off movies on Kallie's "much watch before college" list. Today was Dirty Dancing. Tomorrow? Adventures in Babysitting!  So yeah, getting all the important stuff done....

Also, it snowed yesterday. Nothing like they are seeing in Utah, but I was pretty excited!
