Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove

Sunday was Father's day and we had so much fun celebrating what an amazing dad Christopher is. We got him a beard straightener for his long beard and some bone headphones he wanted. We tried to get him some cool camping chairs... but long story.

This stunning place is only an hour from our house - and it's finally open again!

the water was cold - but that didn't stop Andrew!

Do you like Zack's "swimsuit"?

This baby LOVED THE SAND!  He loved having it go through his fingers, throwing it at siblings, and walking on it.  Was not a fan of sitting on it or crawling on it.  He learned pretty quick it didn't taste that great too.

Zack loves watching the waves, so we decided to see if Nick would like an up close visit.  NOPE

Seriously - the best way to spend Father's Day with the best Dad these kids could ever ask for!

House Update

Things are moving along with the house!  Stu and Mick are really fast little workers!  This is our front door now - Brick is 1.50 each - so they are trying to reuse as many as possible.

Houses here are built with one set of brick (grey), padding, then another set of bricks (red).  It has been fun to see the inside of the house and how they build here.

The new footings are in!  The extra room will be a larger kitchen, and where are current front door is will be their kids play room.  The window Nick loves to look out will be the new front door area.

Stu was nice enough to let the boys help out.  It started off by Stu asking Ben if he wanted to work for an hour with pay.  Of course Ben jumped at the offer.  When Andrew heard about a money making opportunity, he shut off the video game, ran outside, and just started working.  It paid off for both boys!  And they got to use power tools.  A serious win for these boys.

Look at all the concrete they have pulled out!

It hasn't been a chore living here during the construction.  It has been really fun to see how things move along.  And when your nights end with views like this...

you really can't complain about anything.  I'm going to miss this place.

Nick's Favorite Place

Since we have been living in a construction zone, Nick has taken to crawling over to the window, climbing up on the windowsill and watching Mick and Stu work.  He loves when they do the digger and gets so excited when it goes past the window.

🎵Oh what do you do during the Quarantine? 🎵

🎵When you are a Scientist???🎵

You make your very own laser pointer.
(And grow a crazy long beard - and nail the mad scientist look!)

Self Love

Someone has found the magic of mirrors!  I was guarding the stairs watching him roam around when he decided to look up and explore this big white thing on our wall.  He stood up, happy yelled, and kissed his face and high fived himself for a good 15 minutes.  He found his new best friend! The video is adorable!  I love this age of babies crawling around in diapers, exploring this newly opened world around them.

Updated Quarantine hair

Zack's hair has gotten so long!  Honestly it's been driving me crazy. He and Andrew have been riding their bikes in the woods on the dirt bike trail, and he comes home with his hair just soaking from sweat. It's so long in front he asked me to put it in a man bun.

The sides and back were still really long, so after a few days he asked me what other hair cuts we could do with keeping the top, back, and sides long. After much discussion....this is what we ended up with....

Who would've guess my boys would be borrowing hair products,  bands, and brushes from my daughter!?
