B the Hero

B and K were outside playing with friends today. Since A still can't really be outside yet I was watching B and K from my front window that over looks the front yard. I have a pretty good view of the street and can keep a pretty good eye on them. While I was watching them walk over to the neighbors house K fell, and fell really hard on the sidewalk. I was getting ready to put A down and go help K when B showed up. He went over to her and helped her get up and then wiped off her knees. He then took her hand and held it the whole way over to the neighbors house. It was the cutest thing I have ever seen. He was so sweet and loving with her. As they were coming home they were again holding hands. B walked with her to the front door, watched her come in, then turn and run back over to his friends house. How cute is that!

A while later K was back outside and this time in B's truck. He was driving her all around the neighborhood while she had her head on his shoulder. It was adorable. If only they would always get along this well!

Sunday Dinner Fun

We were finally able to take the kids up to Grandma and Papa's house for dinner. We were so excited to finally get to take A out of the house for a few hours and introduce him to dinners at Grandmas. B and K had a blast running around and quickly getting every toy out. Grandma had a little surprise waiting for them in the backyard. Can you tell they had fun?B testing out the new slide down the rocks.
K loving the new airplane teeter totter.

What they picked out of the treasure box before we headed home. And I know you are all wondering where little A was during all the outside excitement. He was where every kids loves to be - being held by Papa and taking a little nap.

Our Two Boys

B loves to hold baby A. A really responds to both the other kids and tries to talk to them. It is really adorable to watch them interact. Aren't they so cute together!

We love our Moms

So a friend of mine paid tribute to her mom and other moms she loves in a blog and I thought it was such a great idea. We are so blessed to have such amazing moms. With these three women in your corner you just can't go wrong.

My mom has taught me so much in my life. She has always been there to support and defend me. Now, after having three kids of my own, I am in awe of how she did it all. She was always there at everything that was important to all five of us kids, worked outside and inside the home, held church callings, and was always helping others along the way. She would always bend over backwards to make us feel as if we were the only one. Now that I can watch my mom as a Grandmother I see that she is doing the same type of things with her grandkids. They all feel as if they are the only one. That is one amazing talent. I love that my mom is not just my mom anymore, she is my best friend. I love her and admire all that she has done and is doing now.

We have had the blessing of living close to Chris's parents for the last 2 1/2 years. I have grown into a better person because of the influence of my mother-in-law. She has taught me so many things. She is always running and she never stops serving others. She makes her family the top priority. She will come down to my home and do special dates with my kids, and help me in any way possible. She has made me feel apart of the family from day one and goes the extra mile to make sure I feel comfortable and am taken care of. I love her for welcoming me with open arms and always treating me as one of her own daughters. She is one of the kindest, thoughtful, loving, generous, forgiving, selfless, Christ like people I know.

Last, but by no means least, is my grandmother "Ahma". My grandparents have played a huge role in my life. I was lucky enough to live close to them while I was growing up. There is no replacement for the love and guidance I got from Ahma during those many hours I spent at her house. I don't know many kids who would call their grandparents friends, but I always did. You could always count on Ahma no matter what. I remember not wanting to be at school, so I would call and Ahma would always come to get me - normally in her slippers with her dogs tagging along in the car. She would never question why, just brought me to her house and we would spend the day together. As I got older and could just drive myself over to her house and miss school she would always plead the 5th when asked by my mom if I had missed school. I loved going over to Ahma's house and would spend countless hours over there. I didn't spend countless hours at her house because of any particular reason, just being in her presence and being close to her was enough. I always knew Ahma loved me, wanted me there, and was my best ally.

I am grateful for such wonderful examples as these three amazing women. I love them so much and respect all that they are. If I inherit even a sliver of what they are I will be one ever lucky gal.

A gets a new taste!

So today I had a little problem in the yard I had to take care of and Ben came along. I left A on the floor kicking and K was singing him songs. She promised she would take really good care of him while I was gone. When I got back inside I noticed K was in the kitchen picking out all the M&M's out of our trail mix. I told her that was enough and she went into the family room while I picked up the trail mix mess (which only took a second). After I picked it up I followed her into the family room just in time to see her trying to put a M&M in A's mouth. I ran over and got it out and told her A can only have milk. She then looked up at me and sweetly said, "Well he liked the first one". I looked at A and sure enough he had a brown and green line around his mouth. I put my finger in his mouth and pulled out a little bit of the shell of the M&M along with a whole bunch of brown drool. He had eaten a whole M&M! Only 2 weeks old and already started on chocolate!

Three Cute Kids!

Our little guy just hanging out. He loves to be on the floor and kick his legs. Little K is always close by. You can see her pant leg in this picture. Little K was laying on the floor next to A singing every song she knew to him. It was really cute to watch the two of them interact.

Are these not the cutest kids you have ever seen?!?

Believe it or not B and K get along really well. Today B was driving K all around the street in his cool little truck. She was loving every minute of it. B is really good about bringing K along to play with his friends. I love having kids that love to be together!

HOMECOMING!

I'm sorry these last 3 posts have been so long in coming. I've tried so hard to upload video for everybody, but even though it "successfully" uploads it just won't post to the blog for some reason. Anyway, we finally got A home! Nini and the kids painted a welcome home sign for him on the basketball court and I got to take my ceremonial first nap. Our kids are no longer considered babies when they get old enough to refuse to take naps with me. Little K has a leg and two arms over the fence in that regard. Hope you enjoy!

Fun with Nini

Nini was a big help the week after A was born and we are sure glad she was here. It was so much fun!! She spent a ton of time with B and K and as you might tell from one of the pictures she did a pretty good job of tiring them out!

NICU and Graduation

While Andrew was in the NICU I walked for my Masters. I even had my hospital tags hanging out of the robe as I went through the ceremony. I was just dying for someone to ask about them so that I could say they'd let me out of the mental hospital to get my diploma, but nobody did.
