Utah Weekend Highlights

Okay, my kids might not be the best at taking pictures, but I will NEVER complain about the pictures I do get! 😂❤️

Andrew decided to come down and surprise Kallie for the weekend, and since it was Megan’s birthday, how could we NOT celebrate Megan?! 🥳

Andrew was hoping to make it to Cougar Canyon, but traffic had other plans. So instead, they had an awesome weekend filled with lots of hanging out at the cabin, enjoying the rain, wrestling matches with the boys, games, laughter, and WAY too much homework.

There was also an unexpected trip to Panda Express because apparently, when you’re the kid who drove the farthest, checking ALL the Walmart bags for important items like ground beef is just too much to ask. 🤦‍♀️😂

It’s never about doing anything extravagant. It’s about being together, making memories, laughing until your stomach hurts, and finding every excuse to get everyone in the same place.

I LOVE when my kids make the time to come together. These are the moments I’ll always treasure, even if the pictures are questionable! ❤️

Halloween Haunt

Sometimes you just have to leave the kids at home (Nick and Xander may or may not have been in tears 😂) and go on a date. Just the two of you, riding roller coasters like you’re teenagers again! 🎢❤️

The best part? The lines were practically nonexistent, so we got to ride ALL our favorites in just two hours! Then we raced home to catch the late-starting BYU game. 🏈💙

10/10 recommend ditching the kids for a few hours, getting your adrenaline fix, and remembering what it’s like to date your spouse. Sometimes the best dates are the ones that make you feel like kids again! ❤️

Boys and Big Toys

Did they get stuck? Several times. 😂
Did they have a full-on photoshoot? Absolutely. 📸
Were they covered head to toe in mud? 100%.
Did they track mud EVERYWHERE? You already know.
Did they laugh until they couldn’t breathe? I’m sure of it.
Did someone probably get a little too muddy? Definitely.
Did they turn my yard into an off-road course? Pretty much.
Is my yard torn up in several places? You bet.
Did I question my life choices watching all this happen? Maybe a little. 😂
Did I let them keep going? Of course!
Would they do it all over again tomorrow? IN A HEARTBEAT.
Will they remember this forever? WITHOUT A DOUBT.

A little mud, a lot of mess, a trashed yard, and the kind of childhood memories you just can’t plan.

CORE. CHILDHOOD. MEMORIES. ❤️😂

Zack's First Band Concert

Zack had his first concert in High School and did an awesome job! He is playing the barisax and loving it.

Zack goes to Homecoming

Zack got to go to Homecoming! 🎉 And he was SO excited!

He went with a little group that included Davin, Hallie, and Cambrie, and the Freckletons were awesome enough to host a pre-dance dinner with an “Eras” theme. They had a progressive dinner, with each stop representing a different era, followed by dancing to music from each one. It was such a fun idea!

Zack had a great night! His official review of the actual dance was… “It was okay.” 😂 Apparently the music was WAY too loud and, according to Zack, they didn’t play enough slow songs. Because obviously, that is the most important part of Homecoming. 😂

I just love seeing Zack with such a great group of friends. They are so much fun together, and I’m so grateful he has these kids in his life!

Now, if only all of his besties actually went to Mountain View, then they could ALL go to dances together! ❤️

Friday Night Lights

Who doesn't love a Friday night under the football lights! We got rained out and had to run to the car. Poor Zack had to stay and play in the rain - but I think he loved it!
