18 Years baby!

This year we celebrated 18 years being married!  It is rare to be on our own for our anniversary.  This is normally the time the Erickson clan has their family reunions!  We didn't think we'd still be in England - or in lock down - for our anniversary.  We got some yummy indian take out and took it to one of our favorite spots....Old Sarum....and has a picnic.  It was so fun to just chat, eat, and watch the storm rolls across the sky.

And Christopher has totally mastered the art of homemade pizza.  I can't tell you how many different types of flour we have in our cupboard and how many pans we have to wash every Friday - but it is worth it!

Shoes, walking, piggies....

Someone got their very first pair of shoes!  He is so close to walking that we thought we'd better get his feet used to shoes.  He loves them!  They are red and spiderman.  Perfect for a crazy kid!

He can stand up all by himself without holding on to anything and squat back down.  He isn't ready to take a step by himself yet, but he is close!  He loves to stand up, look around, make eye contact with someone and start clapping so they clap for him.  He smiles and glows.  I love it so much!

Zack got to go back to school!....well one day a week and has to wear a mask and sit 6 feet away from everyone.  And he is in an all black phase.....

Nick LOVES this little piggy.  He is so ticklish on his feet and tries to hide his feet from Dad.  He just can't stand being tickled!

It entertains us all!

Kallie is quite the sewer!

During lockdown Kallie has become quite the sewer!  She made this adorable table runner all by herself...and in only 3 days!  It looks so happy on our table!  Little does she know when she leaves home this one stays with me!

Oh it's hot...

and air conditioning is not a thing in England.  Thankfully our house has amazing windows so we can get a great cross breeze - and we have huge trees in our backyard.

I brought Nick's bathtub to the backyard and filled it with water and bath toys.  He had an absolute blast and stayed cool.  It was so cute to watch him!  He preferred to be without his swim diaper though...

So that is how we spent the three super hot days we've had here.  When I say super hot - I mean topping out at 93 degrees.  Vegas family would laugh at us!  But now it is cold and rainy again and hot days are a thing of memories.

Our view....

Is amazing.  I took these photos are 4:30 am in our backyard.  I will never get used to the beauty of this place.

House Update

We are now in July and ....surprise!!!!...we are still in England....and STILL HAVE NO ORDERS!  Ugh!  So we are living in a construction zone.  Here is the update!

This is the new wall where the current kitchen wall and window will be pushed out to.

Today we had to move everything out of the front door area where they will be knocking down the wall.  This is a picture of our old front door/mud room area before they put the temporary wall up.

The outside.  Today they started taking down the second story brick and the roof of the front door area.  It is such a loud process!  Thankfully Nick and sleep through anything - and he has a great sound machine.

Kallie modeling our fun new exterior.  I'm not sure how we are going to get all our stuff out of this house.  They will have to take everything out the back doors and around the side - and not let construction stuff and bricks trip them up!

This is what you see when you open the front door.  No floor, a wooded wall and nothing else.  This part of the door will be removed soon.

And how it looks for us on the inside of the house.  Please oh please let orders show up!
