Carving Pumpkins

Oh this blogging format drives me crazy!  To see the pictures in the correct order - start from the bottom of the post and work your way back.

This year was so fun carving pumpkins.  All the kids started and finished their own pumpkins - for the first time EVER!  It was a great day!  The kids always surprise me with their creativity with their pumpkins.  Andrew took the cake this year with unique pumpkin carving tools and equipment!  See our cute pumpkins on the front steps?

Nick was so scared of these lit up pumpkins....poor kid

Look at the concentration

This poor boy was not a fan of cutting open pumpkins, the pumpkin guts, or the slime

Z had a vison for his pumpkin this year!

He loved them as a soccer ball though!

No thank you dad.....

I love Z's face!

Let's get this party started!

Zack starts Hybrid School Oct 29

I have never met a kid so excited to finally go back to school.  Zack has been dying to make friends.  He is such a social kid.  He only goes two days a week, 8am - 11am.  Zack was so excited to ride the bus too.  He got up at 5am, and was completely ready to go by 5:15 and driving me crazy!

His cute little mask!

He couldn't wait for the bus inside any longer, so he decided to wait on the front porch, in the dark, in the cold.  The bus was running late, and he was so worried they didn't know where he lived.

FINALLY!  The bus arrived!  He didn't even have time to say goodbye to me.  He just ran out and jumped right on the bus - never looking behind him.  I'm so happy he was so happy about going.

BYE!

Nick was looking for Zack all day - so we decided to sit on the front porch and wait for him....with a toothbrush of course.

I love this picture of Nick and his little curls.

Finally he gets home!  45 minutes late.  Apparently the bus driver tried to drop him off at the wrong house, had to double back, then finally found us.  Poor guy.  But he was happy since the school sent him home with tons of food! (that he never ate and just kept in the fridge until I tossed it)

Zack had a great day at school and couldn't wait to go back tomorrow!

Ben is the hero of the neighborhood

I'm terrified of snakes.  I hate them.  I never want to see a snake.  I haven't been to the very back of our yard yet because I'm scared of meeting a snake.

The other night Ben was driving and ran over a twig.  Well, that's what he tried to convince me it was. I was positive it was a snake...and I was right!  Not only was it a snake...it was a COPPERHEAD!  Those suckers are DEADLY!  Ben just saved the neighborhood!

My little Monster

Oh I just love this little boy.  He is just the cutest, happiest, funny little man ever.  He makes life so fun and I couldn't imagine our family without him.  One day when I was getting dressed, he came into the bathroom and played pick-a-boo with me.  His giggle kills me!  He loves these little monster shoes and wears them all the time.

A Homemade Homecoming!

I don't know how it happened, but we landed in an incredible ward.  Since COVID has cancelled all things fun and enjoyable, the moms in our ward got together to throw a "Homemade Homecoming" for our kids.  They went all out too!  The girls got together to get ready, followed by pictures and dinner at a beautiful ward members house, then the party moved to another house for dessert and dancing.  A movie was supposed to follow, but since COVID cases are rising here, some moms were uncomfortable with that so it just got canceled.  The COVID comfy kids went over to another house for games afterwards and everything ended around 11:30pm.  These are such a great group of kids and we feel so lucky to be here!  (I can't arrange the pictures...so they are all mixed up)

Isn't she beautiful?!

I love these two kids so much!  I hate how old they are getting though.

Ben has been working on growing his hair out.  It is almost to his collar now!  Such a great kid.
