Andrew's Senior Year Back to School Night!

Back-to-School Night for Andrew’s senior year! He wasn’t thrilled about going—he’s not loving his schedule, especially since early outs are looking unlikely. He’s caught in that classic senior-year dilemma: wanting easier classes and a strong transcript. It’s not easy being 17 and trying to have it all figured out.

To make things even more "fun" for him, BOTH his parents showed up (yep, we’re those supportive parents), and of course, we wanted a picture. You better believe he bolted straight outside—no way was he sticking around for that kind of embarrassment! (So I posted a picture of him in his toga)

So... Christopher and I took a selfie instead—because why not?

New Motor in the House!

Welp... we’re adding yet another gem to the garage collection. Andrew needed a new engine for one of his motorcycles, so he jumped into action—found one online, had it shipped to a freight yard, convinced our neighbor to loan him his truck, talked Christopher into taking a half day off work, and even squeezed in a quick stop at King’s Dominion with us before Nate and Gavin showed up to help unload this 450-pound beast.

When this kid wants something, he makes it happen. No question!

Kallie Turns 20!

Kallie turned 20! It feels so strange not to be with her on her birthday this year. Since it fell on a Sunday, it was a busy day for her out in the mission field. It was also her first Sunday in a brand new area—she was transferred from Fontana to Rialto on Thursday, and she's adjusting to a new ward and a new companion.

She absolutely loved serving with Hermana Ellis and will miss her a ton. Now, Kallie steps into a new role as a follow-up trainer to Hermana Kimball from Texas—so proud of her!

We were lucky to catch a quick chat with her during her lunch break. She’s still recovering from being really sick last week, but she’s pushing through with her usual strength and positivity.

We miss her like crazy and love her to bits!

Sleepy Boys

I love these boys and how they find the strangest sleeping positions! Coming back from Utah, jetlag has been horrific! This pictures are all from this week!

Andrew Rides the Shenandoah Loop

Andrew and his friend took off early one Saturday morning for a motorcycle ride along the Shenandoah Loop. I’ll admit—I was nervous the whole time and tried not to dwell on it while they were out. I asked for a few photos, and this is what I got: full-on motorcycle photoshoots! I love it.

I needed at least one photo of Andrew, so here you go—a fantastic bathroom selfie! 😄 He and Morgan had an awesome time. They grabbed burgers, carrot cake, and even scored a massive slab of meat at a farmers market for a killer deal. (Christopher had some major FOMO, so he and Ben are going to go when Ben comes out!)

Seventeen looks like a blast!

Inland Empire Zone Conference and Transfers!

You better believe I keep a close eye on Kallie’s mission Facebook page! Any time a new photo pops up with her in it, I’m downloading and saving it immediately. I usually share these on her mission blog, but I realized—I want to have them here too!

Kallie recently got a new mission president and has really enjoyed getting to know him and his wife. She wasn’t the biggest fan of her time in Fontana (her apartment situation was a bit rough—no in-unit laundry, which made things extra challenging). But she’s just been transferred to Rialto, and she’s so excited to be there!

I always ask her if she misses the low desert (Palm Desert) and make sure to tell her the temperature—when it hit 113° at 5 p.m., she was very happy to be somewhere cooler. She is absolutely loving the break from the heat!
