Jeans and Pockets

Doesn't Nick look snazzy in his new jeans?!  He is 3, and I just bought him his very first pair of jeans. He was THRILLED! Do you know they have pockets for his hands on his bum!? He walked around all day yesterday just like the picture above. Kallie came home and showed him he could put things in his pockets...like his cars...and his mind was blown! We have to work on wording, "I'm going to put this car in my bum", but we will get there! And yes, this is the second day he has worn this same outfit. I need to convince him to change before I have to take him to schoo.

Standing Ovation

Xander is SO CLOSE to walking! He's not quite there yet, but any day now. This kid loves the spot light though. When he first started to figure out how to stand up on his own we would all clap for him when he did it. He would get so excited and clap along with us with the biggest grin. Now, whenever there is an open room or opportunity, he will stand up in the middle of the room and wait for his applause. It's adorable!  To make it more exciting for his audience he will stand up, clap with everyone, fall down dramatically, stand back up and clap for himself again. This little guy is such a ham!

Boys are Weird

Yes, this is a picture (and video) of my four boys yelling at our lawn mower. Andrew and Xander were driving it around and Andrew decided to rev the engine - so of course Zack and Nick turned it into a game. You can't make this stuff up....

Bassoon

This girl always amazes me. She decided to pick up and learn bassoon. Not only did she learn it, she decided to start playing it as a senior in high school in the band. Yesterday she was invited to play with the orchestra for their concert....and she killed it! So, Piano, Flute, Clarinet, Bassoon - what's next?!

And I don't want to toot my own horn, but my grandfather (Bebe's Dad) was the same way. He was a band leader, played trumpet and violin, and pretty much all the other instruments too. So yeah, you're welcome Kal :)

Little Boys = Dirt Bombs

When you have to change the bath water mid bath, you know its been a fun day for your toddler.
Dirt and grime compliments of Xander not yet walking but has a strong desire to keep up with his older brothers....and putting his hands in exhaust pipes....

University of Maryland

Kallie was able to participate in a Marching Band event at the University of Maryland. They went up early and spent the whole day watching the university marching band, practicing with them, and participating in the game cheers.  I thought they would perform on the field with the marching band - and they did - but the high school kids just stood in a group in the front of the marching band. I think Kal loved learning the different songs and being in the college atmosphere with college kids.

Christopher and I had a blast too. We had a date night (thanks to Andrew watching the three littles until almost 2am). This Maryland crowd was really into the game. Granted the game was a great one and really tight, but these guys took loyalty to a whole new level! I've never heard the F word so many times! I was really glad our little kids weren't there!

I went up after halftime to get a picture of Kallie (and steal some water).  I was met with "are you allowed to be here?" Ummmm.....just smile!
