Here are a few notes I've jotted down in my little notebook over the last month or so:
So, the other day B and Little K were driving with Grandma or Auntie A (I can't remember), and someone looked back to see Little K picking her nose. They told her not to put it in her mouth.... so what does she do? She eats of course! After which, she exclaimed "I like boogers!"
Little K is so cute. We don't know where she came up with it, but the just recently she's started calling K, "Mama Mia!" When she realized that was funny she started calling me, "Daddy Mia!" Lately, she's been feeling a little pressed by the upcoming arrival of A, and has been doing all in her power to revert to being a "baby". Aside from calling herself "the baby", she's has been throwing tantrums to have a pacifier (which she hasn't used in 6 months), and the other day she put up a throw-down knock-out fight for us to pull out her high chair (which she hasn't used in over a year). Wow.
I took the kids to watch BYU play Pepperdine in basketball. I figured that we out to go see at least one team while it's actually ranked before we move. The kids had a lot of fun. We got a bucket of popcorn the size of Little K and cup of soda the size of B's leg and then we went to find seats that were better than the seats we actually bought tickets for (it really doesn't matter at a BYU basketball game). The kids kept calling the BYU Cougar a bear, and everytime people would stand up or clap the kids were right along with them. They even tried to sing the BYU fight song. It was so much fun. They had no clue what was going on or why people would cheer, but they weren't going to let everybody have such a good time without them. B got so fixed on the game that Little K actually stole the popcorn and soda and slipped down to the bench in front of us to eat them all by herself. B has been really into numbers lately, so when he realized that everybody had a number on them, figured that was the game. He would call out different numbers and race me to find them on somebody's jersey. It was going pretty good until, with about 10 minutes left in the game B asked if we were going to play his game when we got home. (Nini got him a Wii for Christmas and almost every night we play a level of Super Mario Galaxy before we go to bed). Well, due to the time of the game, I told him that we were just going to go to bed when we got home. He flipped out and threw a tantrum and we had to leave the game early.
The other day I asked B to help Little K with something because she doesn't know as much as he does. Well, B didn't really want to help her, so he turned to her and asked, "K do you know as much as I do?" To which she said, "Yeah!" He turned back to me and said, "See, Dad". Lately these kids have been questioning everything at the source. If I said K said or did something, or if I mention something else about anybody, the first thing these kids do is go ask that person if what I said was true. I hope I can teach them to always do that.
At night sometimes I give the kids piggyback rides to bed. As I gallop to their rooms I usually am yelling something along the lines of "I'm a big fat pig!" Well, now the kids think that "bigfat" is one word and they think it's funny. Everything now is "bigfat", including things that might be a little sensitive. The other day as K was walking by, B asked her how "her bigfat belly" was doing. When I was getting dressed the other day B remarked, " Those are some "bigfat" pants Dad!" So far we've been successful in keeping these remarks from the general public.
Every night before Christmas this year a little elf from Santa Claus has been sitting in our home watching the kids. He goes back to Santa every night to report and then in the morning he comes back to hide in a different spot. The kids jump up in the morning to run and see who can spot him first. They've been so excited that Kallie can't help but tell EVERYBODY that, "Alphabet leaves at night and goes to a different spot in the morning!" Usually she tells them more than once.... like repeating it over and over without taking a breath until she is out of their presence.
The other morning I was up before anybody else. I thought I heard something outside the bathroom after I put my contacts in, and opened the door to find B trying peek under. He popped up and laughed, and I asked if he wanted to come in the bathroom with me. He replied, "No, I'm going back to bed to get more energy so I can play ALL DAY!" What a kid.
The other day I asked the kids how they were doing with Alphabet watching them. B said, "I've been good!" To which Little K added in a very demure tone (for a 2 year old) "I've been bad!"
One of B's chores is to feed the dogs every day. Since our new dog Apollo came a little on the skinny side, we feed him as much as he'll eat. He finished all of his food one morning so I asked B if he wanted to put more food in Apollo's bowl. "No, but thanks for askin', " he replied as he ran off.
Last Sunday in church B was getting really inpatient. Finally, he turned to me and in a not-so-quite-voice asked, "Dad, how many days have we been here?!"

I am so glad you wrote those down! Our kids say the greatest things and half the time I laugh and then forget. They are so cute!
