Kallie and the Jellyfish

I don't normally bring the kids on my business trips, but when we found out I was going to be down the road from the Florida cousins for a week we decided not bringing Kallie would just be silly. After ditching Katie and the boys midday on Saturday we hopped a plane to the Redneck Riviera and arrived just in time for dinner. Unfortunately, we had to pass through this little guardian to get to dinner...
Today we made our way down to the jetty.

We had fun exploring the volcanic layers in the rock and the barnacles and mussels living at the water's edge. It was pretty cool, but it got a whole lot cooler when a group of girls walking along the beach noticed a dead jellyfish.

Cousin H had some serious trepidation about it at first.

After a couple tears we convinced her that it wouldn't sting her.
Which, of course, opened the floodgates of wanting to hold/touch the dead jellyfish.

Then we discovered the lifeguard tower.

 And Kallie practiced her selfies.

And her general photo taking skills.
We returned back to the house to ride bikes. This was followed by dinner and a movie and bed. Oh, yawn.
