are amazing! They normally follow the same rules:
1. Not at someone's house
2. Hired out to a venue where the venue does everything, kid entertainment, food, activities, provides invites...the full works
3. A FULL meal is provided
4. An insanely decorated birthday cake is presented to the birthday kid, happy birthday is sung, then the cake is taken away before it is cut into
5. Birthday treat bags cost more than I normally spend on one of my kids' birthday parties. They are insane
6. Inside each birthday treat bag is a piece of the birthday cake, wrapped in a napkin, to be eaten at home.
7. You invite everyone in your year.
8. Parents tend to stay and visit. The birthday kid parents usually provide drinks, food, and tables for parents to visit with them while the kids are being entertained by staff
9. Most American parents drop and go - they (we) don't stay. yep we are rude like that.
