We're BACK!

I honestly think King Dominion missed us. As soon as we could, we got our swim stuff on and headed down to be reunited with our old friend! Nick and Xander were in heaven and I enjoyed seeing them run from ride to ride. I'm so excited for summer! On our way out we even ran into friends! I love summer!

The Rubow Family comes to DC!

Gosh I love having visitors! My cousin Lisa and her family came to visit us from California! They actually live in Kallie's mission! Lisa came with her husband Karl and 4 of their 5 kids (Jared is on a mission in Chile). The Rubows played in DC during the day then came home for dinner and get the kids wiggles out. We loved every second of them being here!

Kallie Mission Update

Kallie is currently serving in Palm Desert, California, where the daily temperature reaches over 100 degrees on a daily basis.  She is loving her comp who is from Texas, and they are enjoying teaching some wonderful families and people. Here are a few pictures of the last few weeks. She has transfers next week - and I'm thinking she is going to get transferred. She's been in Palm Desert for 3 transfers now.

Old Ahma and Ahba Pictures

My Aunt Joy sent these to us today, and I realized they need a permanent place on our blog! A few weeks before Kallie was born, Ahma, Ahba, and Joy came to visit everyone in Utah. We went to dinner and up to Jan's cabin to play cards. These pictures are from that visit - then the one with us and Kallie is a few months later. How time flies!

I go to Camp!

Well, not really. I have a new calling in the Stake YW Presidency and I was supposed to go to Stake YW camp, but Christopher was out of town, Andrew was watching Chase, and Zack also had camp - not to mention my 2 little friends I needed to take care of. I also didn't want to feel like I wasn't helping out, so on Monday I helped drive up supplies and the YCL's to camp - which was 3 ish hours away. I got a great shirt out of it and some fun stories - also some traumatizing ones too! I learned Christine Archibald not only has princess hair, but she has no fear of mice or any little critters. The girls found mice droppings in one cabin, which led to a live mouse, which led to a whole nest of baby mice. No worries! Christine called for a broom and dustpan and went in to save the day! I was so impressed. I actually went into the cabin to take a picture - saw a mouse on the wall - freaked out - screamed - and ran outside. I decided this was not something I wasn't to deal with so Christy and I walked down to the ranger station and passed the buck to them.

I help get a few things settled, took a group picture, then hopped in the car to start the trek back home. It was the perfect amount of time at camp - for me.

Zack Does Camp

Zack has hit the ground running this summer! Right after school got out Zack started STEM camp. That is leaving the house at 8am and not getting home until 5pm. (for me and the little boys it was four hours of driving every day - 1 hour there, 1 hour home, 1 hour there for pick up, 1 hour back). I literally picked Zack up from camp, grabbed him an ICEE, and drove 4 ish hours to North Carolina for boys camp. We got there are 8pm and dropped him off. Zack had a great time. Enjoyed shooting guns, lake time, sports, and lots of time with the guys in the stake. He was dirty, tired, and very happy when we picked him up. To top off a great week, we even stopped at the biggest tackle shop and let them walk around a bit.
