We are trying to start up “game night” for Kallie and Ben’s age group here in Ohio. We had one in Sept then we hosted in October. Kallie had an awesome turnout of about 13 kids. This is before all of them showed up and got crazy. Kallie spent all day baking cookies and cupcakes for her party….and they were delicious! I’d say her party was a success!

Ohio shows off in Fall
I can’t help but take pictures wherever I go lately. The trees and leaves are so stunning I can’t even describe them! So here are a few pictures….
Christopher takes up Biking
Christopher has been looking for a way to get back into riding his bike. The only problem is his bike is so old…it’s the one he had in high school and we know how long ago that was! So after much research and talking to his friends who are bikers, we go on our date to a bike shop….”just to look around”. Fast forward 2 hours later and we are walking out of there with a new bike, shoes, pedals, biking pants, and pant leg holder. He rode the 3 miles home and loved it….and didn’t fall, which I loved. I’m writing this 2 weeks later and guess how many bike rides he’s been able to go one? Z-E-R-O. Not for lack of trying or lack of desire, just lack of time. He hopes to get out tomorrow, we shall see
Carving
Andrew received a knife for his 8th birthday. Since then he loves to carve wood and make things. The other day I woke up in the morning and couldn’t find Andrew. He was outside making Nini and Bebe a Christmas present. He had created a lever in a box. This kid loves to build and create.
Field Trip to the Fire Station
I was the lucky one who got to go on Zack’s field trip to the local fire station. It was so fun and Zack asked so many awesome questions…that even stumped the firemen. They were:
1. What happens if the fire station catches fire?
2. What happens if the fire engine catches fire? You know you can’t call 911.
It was pretty awesome and they all got a kick out of him. Z loves to asks questions. As soon as he gets into a situation where questions are welcomed his hand shoots up and stays there till he gets his turn. He is so cute. Here are some fun shots from his field trip.
Zack was one of the few kids who would give the fireman in full gear hi fives.
They even got to go into the fire engine and the ambulance. He was thrilled.
Z is lucky to have two of the best teachers. He loves to go to class every single day. He has only missed one day of school because he was sick. He was made at me all day for not letting him go to school with a fever.
Proper Attire for Running Errands
Christopher to the kids “for me” to Costco. Really that just means he takes the boys to Costco, gets lunch, and enjoys all the samples. It’s great for me since I don’t have to go. The other day they get home and Zack is dressed like this….
Fireman hat, batman gloves, batman rain boots, fireman dress up pants, the Spider-Man pj shirt he wore last night and no underwear. I was so appalled that I had to take a pictures of him. He was being so cute so I went inside and grabbed my night camera for an impromptu photo shoot with Dandy. Here are a few of the gems…
My poor Dandy is getting so old. She used to be all black and now she’s black and grey. She is simply the sweetest and Z loves her. They go about the same speed these days.
