It might have been a short trip with the Hilton's, but we packed as much as we could in! Dan had their week pretty well jammed full, so we just invited ourselves along for the ride. They arrived on Friday and used Saturday as a recovery day. We rode bikes, did college essays with Hailey, played games (Caden is a game manic! I love it!), went for a walk, shot airsoft guns, started a fire (in the fire pit), and the kids went on a 'hike' complete with a backpack FULL of snacks. They were very responsible though and brought back all their trash.
These little daredevils decided to try really hard to get injured, or at least some serious road rash, by riding the skateboards down the hill as fast as possible. We decided it was better not to watch them - what we don't know can't be bad right?
The outfits though - were spot on.
Dan and Hailey tried really hard to break the couch Andrew and Christopher just fixed. Sadly, they did a great job fixing it and it withstood the tickle fight!
These 5 (plus Xander) are just thick as thieves. We really didn't even see them the whole time. They were busy making their own fun. On the last night they all went down to the basement and had a karaoke sing along to Hamilton. We could hear them upstairs! Nick loved being apart of the big kids and they were so good about including him. Oh I love cousins and when people come to visit!
The last night the Hilton's were here, Aunt Emily had to school these kids and put them in their place. They were getting too hotty about being good at games. Emily pulled out Egyptian Rat Screw, and the kids saw a whole new side of Emily! She killed them! Part of the game you try to beat everyone by slapping on the doubles. It's a fast game so it goes so quick. Every time there was a double it was a race to slap that thing as fast and hard as possible! Andrew totally slammed his hand down (sometimes even on doubles) and got Emily's finger really good! She went home with a swollen finger, but pride for have beaten all the teenagers at a game. Priceless.
