Christmas Eve at the cabin is pure magic. Grandma has this giant box filled with fun Christmas hats and glasses, and the boys can’t resist picking out a new set every night. They wear them all day long, spreading holiday cheer wherever they go. And, of course, we stay in our pajamas the whole day—because why not?
Tonight, Grandma and Papa took charge of dinner, and we had a “make your own pancake bar.” Each family had their own griddle to cook their pancakes, with a variety of pancake mixes to choose from. Then, the toppings came out—everything from whipped cream to chocolate chips, berries, and sprinkles. It was a pancake lover’s dream! We had a couple of power outages (apparently, that many griddles at once is a lot to handle), but eventually, everyone got fed and satisfied.
After dinner, we gathered in the great room for our final night of candles. The kids absolutely loved it, and it was the perfect way to end a magical evening.
