Apparently there has been some confusion created about K's actual condition. The fact that the last I posted about her happened during an incredible couple of days ended up being a little misleading. Now some of you have accused her of ignoring you, or not responding to you, or just blowing you off. The fact of the matter is she tends to have a pretty decent day in about every 12 days. Here you see her feeling pretty good again at about 12 weeks. Now lest you've been feeling neglected please know that on better days she gets up and gets through about 5 emails before she hurls. (Throwing up emails is not pretty.... believe me). Forget about responding. The phone tends to have a similar effect although she can have extended conversations at select times provided you do all the talking and none of it touches on food (including asking what she's been able to eat). Her diet lately consists entirely of cheese quesadillas, vegetable soup, popcorn, ice cream, hostess chocolate frosted donuts, and starbursts. (Yes ladies, she has been eating as much as she wants of any of these (well, you know, when she can eat) and she stills weighs in under (insert whatever number here makes you personally feel better)! (My wife has been teaching me about women...) Sorry, that's the only gloating she can do right now...) The first day she decided she could try the soup she threw up the first half of the bowl, decided that wasn't too bad, and then finished the second half. When I cleaned out the bowl the letters were all arranged into several words: puke, upchuck, hurl, and ralph to name a few. Anyway, we're still having a hard time and I haven't been able to get back to work yet, but K still claims this will all change.... hopefully before anybody who is connected to my paycheck finds out.
