After months and months of begging me, I finally agree to go on a work trip with Christopher. K, it actually wasn't like that at all, but it's my blog - my memory! I am going to do a book just on this trip (I look over 1500 pictures) but it needs a place on this blog too. So, here's a super quick rundown of what we did, and to help me remember things when I actually do the book!
June 14 - headed to the airport to fly to Vienna!
June 15 - Land in Vienna - start driving to Baska - via Graz
June 16 - See a cave, walk around Baska with Renato (who was born and raised there), saw an old church, gawked at the beautiful sunset
June 17- Christopher presents, I attend the fancy lunch and marvel at this guys talent of filleting this fish that was swimming around when we arrived, make some interesting fashion choices, swim before dinner, enjoy being serenaded by a Croatian achapella group
June 18 - Sadly say goodbye to Baska, find a secluded beach we see from the road and figure out how to get there - almost don't make it when a truck blocks the only way into the town, decide to park and just walk it. Best decision! Enjoy an incredible swim and nap then finish our drive and arrive in Sibenik, Croatia
June 19 - Kallie opens her mission call while we are away! We see Krka National Park, eat lunch inside a waterfall, ride electric bikes so see the same waterfalls, see some history, eat some pizza
June 20 - We take a day to chill at the resort and enjoy the sun, heat, and pool! Sibenik
June 21 - Leave
Sibenik and drive to the resort town of Split, enjoy the perks of Christopher being a Titanium at Marriotts, lay by the pool, then the beach, then force ourselves to actually get dressed and go explore Split, see some stuff, eat some pizza, come back for a night swim!
June 22 - Say goodbye to Split with a morning swim, stop at the cutest town with the best pizza on our way to Zagreb, see some amazing towns and falls - drive most the day
June 23 - Leave Zagreb and start driving to Vienna. Stop and see hot springs, waterfalls, concentration camp in Slovenia, Castle in Bled
June 25 2024 - Full workday
Start my day with breakfast with this handsome man, explore the city alone while he works, then end my day with ice cream and this handsome man!
June 24 - Visit the UN, Schonbrunn Zoo, Eat a huge (yucky) pretzel, explore the city
for Christopher so I explore the city alone during the day, take a mid-day swim, celebrate 22 amazing years with Christopher, eat yummy things, explore the city at night with Christopher's co-worker
June 26
Start my day with breakfast with this handsome man, explore the city alone while he works, then end my day with ice cream and this handsome man!
June 27 - Explore some more, take a train outside the city to see Schorbaun Palace, Beethoven statue behind our hotel, explore the spa at our hotel, walk the city at night
June 28 - Meet Christopher at the UN for lunch and a walk about, see funny faces, dead people, castles, the Vienna at night from a ferris wheel club car
June 29 - Visit Mauthausen Concentration Camp, Salzburg, Tricky Fountains, get ice cream, yummy dinner at steirerstockl
June 30 - our last day, our last breakfast, the last time Christopher spills on himself in Vienna, get on the airplane, travel home, see our amazing kids
