For Kallie's 19th birthday we got her tickets to see Thomas Rhett in Cincinnati. Since it is an 8 1/2 hour drive (one way) we decided to make it a girls trip! Our first official! We loaded up super early in the morning and hit the while open road! First stop - Mc Donalds for breakfast!
After a quick trip to Walmart to buy a cigarette lighter charger, we finally made it to the best ice cream place on the planet. Ritter's in Beavercreek! Sadly they didn't have my favorite ice cream, but can you really go wrong when it's ice cream? Our second ferret mom Rachel met up with us and we enjoyed catching up and just chatting away until it was time to get into the city and get dressed! We did a quick home town tour for Kallie which included her middle school, elementary school, and our old house. And yes, it was really 104 degrees!
We realized, a little too late, that we stayed too long at ice cream and had now entered going home traffic time. It was intense....I was shaking for an hour after we made it to the hotel. Thankfully it had valet parking because I don't think I could've handled finding a garage in the city. But that view amazing!
We didn't have the time we wanted to get all cute, but Kallie still managed to look amazing! I pulled my hair back, refreshed makeup, and called it good! This outfit of Kal's was so cute! It's actually a skirt, pulled up, belted with a cute jean jacket. Adorbs!
Our hotel was so close to the venue that we walked over. The ticket was for the Red's baseball game first with the concert following it - so we decided to cool off in a restaurant and enjoy some yummy Mexican food. They shut down the whole street so we just walked along and enjoyed the fun atmosphere.
We finally made it inside!
We had to go on a treasure hunt - but we finally found the Thomas Rhett merch table and bought a shirt with his face on it!
Thomas and his wife Lauren walking out! Lauren spent a good chunk of the concert meeting fans and dancing along. It was so cute - and no, it never cooled down. It was so hot!
We stood up and sang along the whole 2 hour concert. It was such a blast just being with my girl, enjoying music we both love, and exploring a new city. He put on an amazing concert too!
