Gillen Family Reunion - Durango

The whole reason we traveled to Colorado was to attend the Gillen Family Reunion on Grandma’s side — and it did not disappoint! We had such a fun time enjoying delicious BBQ, quirky jello salads (a first for my kids!), playing 9 Square, catching up with loved ones, meeting new family members, and joining in on all sorts of yard games and laughter.

Xander hit the jackpot when he made fast friends with "that nice grandpa" — also known as Lindy, Shelley’s husband. Lindy absolutely spoiled him with an entire bag of gum and mixed candy, even labeling it with Xander’s name so no one else could sneak any. His sweatshirt pocket got so stuffed with treats from the tables that he could barely waddle around by the end of the day!

Andrew also got in on the fun — flexing his muscles with several rounds of pull-ups on anything that could support him. It was a fantastic day, filled with family, fun, and sugar-fueled joy. By the time we left, we were all just as worn out as Xander!
