While we were in Colorado, Zack and Channing dreamed of sleeping out in the wilderness, suspended in tree hammocks under the stars. Lucky for them, Meg and Steve had just the gear to make those dreams come true! They set up a little hammock village in a clearing near the cabin and spent every night out there.
I would’ve been terrified — alone in the woods with only a bug net between me and nature — but they had an absolute blast.
There was one minor hiccup: Zack managed to flip his hammock and fell straight through the closed bug net. (Yes, through it.) And that’s how we ended up with a “new to us” hammock… and the Nelsons got a brand new one, courtesy of us!
We loved those hammocks so much — especially the bug nets — that we ended up buying three more to have at home. Safe to say, we’re officially hooked.
